Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will be part of the MCS Platform and will be based in Milwaukee, WI. As part of the Gear Division’s Accounting & Finance team, reporting to the MCS Gearing Finance Director, this role will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory standard costing activities for US SAP Gearing and Industrial Components Division’s plants and assist with standard costing and margin analysis activities
• Perform standard operational reporting for multiple plants, supporting daily management of the business, proactive management of costs and working capital, and to drive sustainable improvement
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in order to standardize processes and maximize the value of our SAP ERP system across the sector
• Provide ad hoc analyses to support Operations Finance
• Pair with Central Accounting to help maintain an effective controls environment

Experience And Skill Required

• Junior/Senior at an accredited university with studies in Accounting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills
