Job Summary:

The Manager, Events Marketing will participate in the strategy, development and execution of CARE USA’s event portfolio comprised of in-person, virtual and hybrid events. This position contributes to the success of CARE signature events which are intended to support fundraising goals, increase brand awareness, and engage new and current supporters.

She/He will be responsible for these general functions: marketing signature events, developing assets and communications leveraging various technologies and tools, and producing experiential events. Ideation, planning and production of guest experiences at events is a big part of your job, and partnering with external vendors for all aspects of event execution and production. She/He will assist with content development and work with the Creative team for promotional materials and manage the event email strategy and implementation using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and content for websites, mobile event apps, SMS, registration sites, surveys, etc.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of event marketing, digital marketing and experiential event experience. This position requires creativity, innovation, relationship-building skills, excellent project management, communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Events Management & Production
    • Lad the strategy, development and implementation of the event marketing & communications plan
    • Collaborate with internal Channel Managers and Relationship Managers to optimize the event opportunity to engage their supporters
    • Keep up with emerging event marketing tactics and technologies
    • After the event, evaluate the effectiveness of the event from an attendee perspective and evaluate the event marketing & communications plan
    • Contribute creative, innovative, and technologically savvy
  2. Develop Communications & Promotional Materials including managing technology
    • Develop assets to be used by channel owners and RMs to promote and communicate the event
    • Manage communications including writing content and partnering with internal CARE Channel owners to create save the dates, invites, and content for websites, registration, mobile apps and surveys
    • Partner with CARE’s social media team to distribute content to market the event and engage attendees
    • Serve as the Events team’s channel manager for email and SMS communications about CARE events by develop

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of event marketing and experiential event experience including in-person, virtual and hybrid for conferences, fundraising galas, webinars and VIP events
  • Excellent writing & communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone & voice to develop content for a wide range of distribution channels
  • Sound organization, prioritization and time and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and client management and client facing skills
