As a Tax Intern, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the business as we strive to provide a best-in-class pet experience for our customers.
What You’ll Do
The Tax Summer Internship at Chewy provides students with challenging projects to gain in-depth knowledge of our operations and immersive, on-the-job experience. From Day 1 interns are given ownership and empowered to make a lasting impact on their teams by combining project-based work with professional development, networking and social engagements, and mentoring. The work you will do as part of our Tax department is fascinating, complex and technically challenging. We aim to give you a real flavor for what it’s like to build a tax career at Chewy! One day you may be scoping out new tax legislation and the next helping to prepare tax returns. We strive to provide a unique and enriching environment to grow and develop your real-world skills.
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with intent of pursing CPA certification or Master’s in Taxation field, with intent to return to school after the internship concludes. Candidates should be pursuing CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proven leadership experience, through academics, athletics or extracurricular activities
- Strong, clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- A penchant for critical thinking and natural curiosity for problem solving
- Demonstrated quantitative analytical capabilities
- Current Permanent U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Also a plus…
- Accounting for Income Taxes exposure
- Previous internship or other accounting/tax experience with a CPA firm or medium-large corporation
- Completion of Income Tax for Corporations course
- Knowledge of applications such as Onesource, Alteryx, Tableau
