Finance Intern MBA-Summer 2022

This position will report to Sr. Finance Manager of the Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and will be responsible for developing and implementing business valuation models for new and existing businesses. Student will have the opportunity to gain business experience interacting with Operations, Engineering and Finance stakeholders throughout the company. Key tasks will include gaining baseline understanding of targeted businesses for valuation, developing & aligning with management on a valuation methodology and presenting results to Finance management and Product Group executive stakeholders. Success criteria: ROI models developed, aligned & implemented prior to end of internship with clear insight into financial benefits & associated risks that can be compared across multiple programs. Depending on available time, student may have opportunity to support/drive other Finance efficiency projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Student pursuing BA degree in Business or other related field. Preference for student pursuing MBA, particularly in the areas of Finance or OMIS.
• Outstanding Excel skills using advanced functions.
• Outstanding interpersonal & presentation skills. Must be comfortable meeting with program managers, quickly building relationships & presenting results to executive management.
• Must be able to work proactively and independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Financial modeling, including ROI analysis. Can offer insights, recommendations to latest methodologies for business investment valuation.
• Outstanding financial systems skills, preferably SAP & reporting/analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Alteryx.
• Industry knowledge not required but preferred.
