We are currently recruiting an Information Management Associate, to join our AIM (Accountability, Impact & Measurement) department.

This is a remote/hybrid position and will consider applicants who are homebased in the US, UK, and other RI country of operations.

Contract Type: Open Ended, Full time.

About the opportunity

Relief International is excited to be searching for an Information Management Associate, to take responsibility of the maintenance and progress of RI’s Data Management practices & platforms, across all our countries of operating. This is a critical role, supporting the Senior Director of Accountability, Impact & Measurement.

You will play a key role in supporting global, regional, and country staff on advancing key IM policies and practices, and will collaborate with country MEAL staff, to ensure high-quality data is being collected, inputted, and visualized.

This role will support country offices, and the Senior Director of AIM, through assistance on key data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • We use a third-party programme called “LogAlto”, to store countries project frameworks, indicators and results. You will become a subject-matter expert on it, and assist regional MEAL staff in training.
  • With supervision from the Senior AIM Director, you will collect required programmatic indicators from countries on a routine basis, and upload them onto LogAlto. The indicators are then visualized using PowerBI .
  • You will be building and monitoring the capacity of countries on issues related to data integrity and data protection. This includes keeping informed and advising RI staff on emerging trends regarding data protection and data management.
  • Work with RI’s Standardization and Optimization Manager to advance key data management initiatives.
  • Train and support non-MEAL staff on data processing and data analysis functions as well as provides short-term technical assistance.
  • As needed, provide in-country training and support related to project and programmatic data management processes.

About you

You will bring the following:

  • Experience in working on Management Information Systems (MIS); developing relational databases is essential.
  • Relevant academic background with B.S. or B.A. technical degree relating to MIS and/or database management, software development, research, social science, statistics.
  • Strong theoretical and educational background on MIS/GIS and mapping for humanitarian/development work desired.
  • Good command of MIS/GIS software, and Database software such as Access, SQL or FoxPro.
  • Good command of Power BI, and related platforms that shared common APIs is essential.
  • Advanced computer skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel required including experience with pivot tables, database design, and graphical representation.
  • Proven ability to work productively with a variety of stakeholders to run participatory processes and meet tight deadlines with an emphasis on quality.
  • Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
