Payor Contracting Intern

We are actively recruiting for a Payer Contracting Intern who will support our commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage performance teams in developing tools to support EyeCare Partners’ practices in performance across lines of business.

The Payer Network intern will specifically be tasked with helping EyeCare Partners’ inventory Payer contracts in our software systems and tagging key provisions within those contracts.

Key Focus Areas

• Working with Contracting staff to identify payer contracts that exist throughout the organization
• Assist in the loading of the contracts into our contract management software (ContractWorks)
• Reviewing contracts to identify key terms and tagging those in the system
• Assist contracting in other contracting initiatives as necessary

Preferred Background/Experience

• Required – working towards a bachelor’s degree in related field
• Preferred- either working towards or have earned a master’s degree; a focus in business, health services research, health policy, public health or other relevant fields is preferred
• Preferred – Internships or work experience in health care settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication
