The Opportunity

The Resource Planning Intern will work in a fast-paced department that is responsible for staff planning for our contact centers. Under the supervision of the supervision of CFS Sr Systems Analyst, Resource Planning in Studio Park, the Intern will produce a detailed analysis of workforce planning requirements and contact center reports and analysis in a highly variable volume environment, utilizing operational research and statistical analysis skills (project to be completed by end of internship).

Our summer internship program will be full time, running from May 31st – August 12th.

Your Impact

  • Collect, access and manipulate data, develop/modify reports needed to satisfy initiatives through the use of internal applications and standard tools such as Excel, Access and other reporting tools/databases. Must be able to customize Excel, create and/or edit SQL queries, and build data models for analysis.
  • Effectively analyze and communicate results and trends. Contribute as a team member with experience in gathering and manipulating data and demonstrate a basic understanding of current business processes across the organization.
  • Produce, validate and deliver accurate reports including standard departmental metrics, as well as accurate and meaningful ad hoc reports from verbal and written requests.
  • Work collaboratively, coordinating and directing necessary resources outside of department to bring project to a timely and cost efficient conclusion, as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Applicants must currently be enrolled in a college or university
  • The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Business Administration
  • Relevant academic projects in supply chain research or mathematics is preferred
  • The ideal candidate will be pursuing a graduate degree, or are in their junior/senior year of undergraduate studies
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, V Lookups, queries, advanced written formulas)
  • Intermediate knowledge with other Microsoft Office systems including but not limited to Outlook, Access and Word
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, balanced by the ability to apply common sense
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and find root causes
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
