Role

Through this summer internship our candidate will learn about fiber solutions and our strategy. The candidate will interface with members of the Strategy Team gaining an understanding of the Crown position with the fiber industry and our approach to develop metro markets. The candidate will also assist with the preparation of committee presentations and research competitive information on data centers and on-net enterprise buildings for multiple metros. Interns will also learn about and gather data on key industry verticals for the fiber team such as Healthcare, Higher Education and K-12 schools.

Responsibilities

• Perform research to gather information on data centers and on-net enterprise buildings comparing CCI to its key competitors
• Research multiple metros to determine CCI competitive position with regard to data centers and on-net enterprise buildings
• For each metro, we need to determine how many data centers exist, how many are key data centers, how many is CCI in versus our key competitors
• We need to determine how many total on-net buildings in each metro we have as well as the make-up of those buildings (K-12, healthcare, government, enterprise, multiple tenant enterprise, etc.)
• Perform research to identify the highest priority K-12, Healthcare and Higher Education Targets
• Research large K-12 schools with contracts expiring over the next few years
• Identify high priority Healthcare and Higher Ed Targets with locations that fit our fiber footprint
• Interact with Strategy Team members to confirm data and develop presentations
• Assist with analysis to present large deals for committee approval as necessary
• Prepare maps
• Research locations
• Gather lease-up data for buildings and routes

Education/Certifications 

• Currently enrolled in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution

Reports to: Manager Sales Operations (King of Prussia, PA)

Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that requires up to 25% travel.
