KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join our State & Local Tax practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with gathering and documenting business and system requirements
  • Help analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Communicate to clients in a timely and effective manner
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues
  • Help develop the necessary process documents, data intake forms, tools and work plans required for each project
  • Understand business rules and requirements and apply knowledge to client applications and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems or a related field
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA over 3.00 or above
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred, but not required: MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx and/or SQL
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project, Visio or other process mapping software
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises up to 50%, at times with relatively short notice
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
