This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Planning Intern for our Detroit, MI office. Be involved in projects with our Advisory Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Transportation planning tasks including research, writing, data analysis, GIS analysis, and other duties as assigned
  • Participation in client meetings (e.g., City of Detroit, Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan, MDOT)
  • Develop of graphics and other presentation items for community meetings

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Current standing as a Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Urban Planning or equivalent program
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately
  • Experience with GIS and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with grant writing, funding, and managament
  • Interest and experiece with transit and complete streets planning and design
