Corporate Venture Capital MBA Intern-Summer 2022

Lam Capital is the venture capital arm of Lam Research which partners with and invests in innovative technology companies that make a big impact in areas such as semiconductors, industry 4.0, AI, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Lam Capital is looking for a full-time summer intern to support its VC investments for at least 3 months to support the following responsibilities

• Review and analyze pitch decks, meet with entrepreneurs and take organized notes for distribution to the broader team
• Manage pipeline deal flow by sourcing early leads and pre-screening and keeping track of the deal flow
• Provide support for various market and technology research projects. Specific activities include but are not limited to: sector research; analysis of investment portfolio returns; and financial modeling including building cap table, waterfall analysis, cash flow and revenue projections
• Assist in deal execution under mentorship of investment team members. Responsibilities may include preparing presentation materials for investment committee and reviewing legal documentation
• Complete ad hoc projects with the team and team partners; synthesize preparation materials for the team

Minimum Qualifications

• You are an MBA student from a top university
• You have a proven track record of personal, academic and professional achievements
• You have an entrepreneurial mind-set with a keen interest in start-ups
• Ideally, you have previous work experience with a tech startup and/or engineering/finance background
• You can work effectively in an independent, structured and goal-oriented manner
• You have a high degree of comfort with analytics & numbers
• You are team oriented and have excellent communication skills
• You are proficient with Microsoft Suite. Great if also proficient with PitchBook, Crunchbase, and CBInsights
