Summer Intern, Software Engineer – Financial Applications

Responsibilities:

  • The position is part of the IT supporting the configuration and deployment of Enterprise Planning Systems
  • Work closely with Enterprise Planning team to assist in system development initiatives
  • Build financial reports and input templates.
  • Develop training materials and assist in facilitating user training classes
  • Manage and triage email to helpdesk and provide support to end users
  • Audit and test user security across financial planning platforms
  • Candidate would have the opportunity to learn how we utilize agile development methodologies to provide solutions to the finance organization

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (.NET), Java or any other programming language
  • Knowledge of database technologies
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Curiosity to learn new technology to support modern workplace’s collaboration and knowledge management needs
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven critical thinking & analytical skills – problem diagnosis, resolution options, successful plan execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Must have completed at least 1 year towards a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be currently enrolled in either a bachelors or master’s program
  • Must be enrolled in a degree field that is relevant to or within the field of study towards the internship positions function.
  • Must be authorized to legally work in the US without Omnicell sponsorship.
  • Availability to participate for the duration of the Internship Program full-time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with C++, Java, SQL, Tableau, Linus
  • Strong communication, presentation, creativity, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Interest in the healthcare industry.

Work Conditions:

  • Office Environment.
  • Must be able to go into the Mountain View, CA office two or three days per week.
