Overview

This opportunity will allow a student within their junior year of a Bachelor program or higher with a concentration in business, finance, information management or technology gain exposure to Compliance Risk Management System. The Compliance Intern will assist the Central Compliance Team with, including but not limited to, management of compliance risk data (governance, capture, aggregation and analysis), implementation of technology and the enhancement of reporting detailing the key performance indicators of Core Compliance Programs and Framework and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the implementation of Compliance Risk Management System. This includes performing tasks related to Core Compliance Programs and Framework such as Management & Board Reporting preparation; supporting the Issues and Regulatory Change Management processes and enhancing the Compliance tools (i.e. risk assessment template).
  • Use analytical expertise to support the enhancement of the Compliance TeamSite. Specifically, analyzing the various mechanism options to manage data tracked for reporting and governance activities.
  • Assist with other Compliance Risk Management deliverables as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Junior status or above and in good standing
  • Experience in using the Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) package
  • Analytical thinker that can assist with investigating complex issues, present recommendations and develop solutions
  • At least 1 (one) year relevant experience in the financial services industry with exposure to operational risk, audit or compliance is preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or across multiple teams
  • SharePoint and Proficient Excel experience a plus
  • Spanish or Portuguese language is a plus
